Medical Day Stay - REGISTERED NURSE# RN#in medical day stay provides#safe and effective nursing care, consistent with the hospital#s mission statement, policies and procedures. Scope of patient care services provided encompass all age groups, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Accountabilities include: Assisting patients in moving as rapidly, uneventfully, safely and effectively as possible through the Medical day stay process. Educating patients on their condition Collaborating with healthcare teams Preforming and administering intravenous medications and infusions, Intramuscular injections, and minor outpatient medications. Maintain accurate records of IV placement and patient care# Charting accurate patient record via EMR- Meditech Expanse# Monitor patient vitals # REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Current license within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse; Current certification in ACLS## PALS-CPR cardiopulmonary resuscitation; # Two years of perioperative experience preferred but not required Self motativated and Positive attitude
