Our team is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary Function Technologist#to join our Ambulatory Pulmonary Practice who will select#and perform#diagnostic tests of the Cardiopulmonary system, understand#the effects of disease, and instruct#or supervise#others who perform these tasks.# The Pulmonary Function Technologist can identify abnormalities and impairments of the cardiopulmonary system and know when to consult a physician. They can assess patient performance of a test and know when repetition or cessation of a procedure is required. What you will do: Arrange#for patient testing by obtaining appropriate supplies and equipment necessary to perform requested tests Evaluate#quality control data and calibrate#testing equipment prior to testing Interview#patients in order to gather and documents pertinent patient information; explain#test procedures to patients or family members Set#up, operate, and maintain#required testing equipment Perform#a variety of routine pulmonary tests according to established procedures Perform#arterial punctures to obtain blood samples Minimum Qualifications Associates#in Science degree in Respiratory Therapy One to three (1-3) years of experience in respiratory care MA state license; CPFT or RPFT required or able to secure credentials within one (1) year.
