Description

The Operations Manager supports the Facility Manager in maintaining efficient warehousing, distribution and packaging operations in accordance with Kane and customer requirements. This position involves a high level of customer interaction and is accountable for driving profitability and productivity while maintaining high quality standards. The Operations Manager is also responsible for promoting a safe environment and monitoring compliance with safety procedures. Responsibilities * Implements and monitors compliance with operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials. * Identifies legal and customer requirements affecting warehouse operations and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance. * Writes and responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and operations. * Advises management on the appropriate resolution of operating issues. * Assists in preparing operating budgets and workforce planning. * Provides 100% customer satisfaction. * Builds a positive team environment by listening and communicating with all associates. * Follows and enforces all ISO/NISO procedures applicable for facility operations. * Performs actions needed to ensure a tour-ready facility. * Prepares attendance and tardiness records. * Prepares and investigates accident reports. * Facilitates the maintenance of operational equipment, including preventative maintenance. * Assists in door checks, alarm security, housekeeping, upkeep of exterior grounds, riser pressure logs, warehouse temperature, snow removal, and facility security including guardhouse and key/code authorizations. * Prepares various quantitative reports requested by the Facility Manager. * Proves and/or coordinates training needed to maintain skill levels. * Assists in coordinating vacations, payroll and time sheets, performance reviews, complaints and associate concerns, productivity and quality of work. * Performs routine trailer inspections, load/unload scheduling, and inspections and yard checks. * Supports the coordination of floor space and work flow schemes. * Performs time studies, cycle counts, and inventory counts. * Cross trains associate as needed to maximize associate effectiveness. * Assists in coordinating OS&D claims. * Manages subordinate associates in the department. Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * * Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. * Other duties as assigned. Benefits * Medical, Dental, Vision (1 day of the next month of hire) (Options available) * 401K with matching program * STD, LTD * Vacation and sick time * Friendly and Open-Door culture Pay Range $90k-110k (based on experience) * Qualified candidates must have at least 5 (five) years of management experience in a Co-Pack Manufacturing/distribution/warehouse environment * Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or business-related field preferred. * Strong oral and written skill set * Strong organizational skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required. * Must have good knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory statutes governing warehouse operations. * Ability to work in a varied, fast-paced environment. * Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) * Ability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 operation.
