Your impact 

 

Lead End-to-End satellite communications solutions design efforts – including architecting key elements of the solution, evaluating technical options, and leading cross-functional teams towards a final solution while keeping all of the company's key stakeholders apprised, as the opportunity proceeds through the capture/proposal gates.

 

What you will do 

 

  • Analyze Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, identify pivotal technical elements and work with Intelsat GS cross-functional teams, our partners and small businesses to craft winning solutions.
  • Develop End-to-End solutions development to include system-level optimization across SATCOM and IP layers, to match customer requirements. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales/BD, Engineering, and Capture Management teams to deliver the most optimal technical solutions tailored to meet customer needs.
  • Review, edit and refine outlines, storyboards, technical proposals (text and graphics) – ensure clarity, conformance, consistency, and completeness but go beyond it to make for a compelling narrative.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Intelsat and 3rd-party satellite assets (including LEO and GEO) network infrastructure and product/service offerings.
  • Conduct Market Research and Competitive Intelligence studies including supporting business case development.
  • Identify key solution elements of RFP/RFIs, including technical implications thereof.
  • Review engineering solutions for accuracy and compliance
  • Work with engineering to ensure compliance of proposed solution.
  • Write proposal responses to government contract solicitations succinctly in a compelling manner.
  • Expert proposal writing skills to include rewriting/editing key elements of technical solution description in a compelling manner to deliver superior, differentiated solutions.
  • Ability to drill down into the details, dependencies and implications while being cognizant of/and working towards big-picture aspects of the proposal. 

 

 Your required experience/skills  

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering (an equivalent combination of relevant education, military service and/or experience will be considered)
  • A minimum of (5) years of recent, relevant experience in GOVSATCOM with 2+ years of proposal-related experience specifically related to writing and editing sections of complex proposals in response to RFIs, RFPs and RFQs
  • Intimate familiarity with the satellite and communications industry, technology, community and market
  • Possess SATCOM engineering knowledge through a combination of formal certifications and hands-on experience – as it relates to optimizing MicroSATs, Land-Mobile (COTM) and Aero ISR networks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite in support of large, complex capture and proposal efforts as well as to routinely create, edit and publish documents.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain US government Tops Secret clearance, which requires US citizenship.

  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and retain a positive attitude while simultaneously handling multiple complex projects with demanding schedules.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of various cultural backgrounds.
  • Skills to develop and maintain trusting and collaborative technical customer relationships, both internally and externally.

 

It would be nice if you had:  

  • System engineering background in satellite or Telecom industry
  • Knowledge of current IA/Cybersecurity techniques and standards
