Intertek is looking for an E&I Inspector to join our US Site Construction team in Buras, LA!
The E&I Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the Project Quality Plan in conjunction with Project Execution Plan is developed and implemented. This role will promote quality awareness throughout the organization, emphasizing excellence, continuous improvement, and corrective action to influence the overall success of company business. Duties:
- Review of specifications, procedures and specified standards utilized on the construction site
- Electrical testing monitoring
- Inspection, witnessing or verification to establish the quality of a material, structure or system
- Factory acceptance tests of installations and equipment
- Monitoring electrical systems of plant equipment before and during installation
- Organization and implementation of record retention systems
Physical Requirements for this role:
- Must be able to walk long distances
- Must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Must be able to stand for extended durations
- Must be able to reach in all directions
- Must have good visual acuity with regards to color, depth perception and field vision
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold temperatures
- Must be alert and able to determine job related hazards and recognize when hazards change
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Preferably holds current certification in Swagelok and Parker tubing fitting installation (Will accept expired certification depending on experience
Requirements:
- Industry standard certifications preferred
- 5+ years of inspection experience on-site during construction in Electrical inspection
