Kane Logistics operates 6 million square feet within both dedicated distribution centers (single client) and shared distribution centers (multiple clients) spanning every region of the U.S. Our nationwide network provides consumer product companies with the national distribution infrastructure they need to get products to market quickly and efficiently. We have an opportunity for a Senior Recruiter to join our Transportation team. As we grow our Transportation business, this individual will play a key role in sourcing, screening, hiring and onboarding CDL Class A Drivers. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience placing both Owner Operator and Brokers. The Senior Recruiter, Transportation will have the opportunity to create marketing strategies to improve Driver hiring and partner with the Driver Managers to drive retention. This individual will be responsible for phone screening, interviewing, and preparing a pool of candidates as well as the creating and maintaining all Department of Transportation files for Drivers. This position will play a critical role in helping us achieve our growth strategy by ensuring we hire the best talent. Responsibilities * Creating effectively executing recruiting plans with Transportation leadership * Networking through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and current associates * Maintaining job descriptions and updating requisitions for hiring including posting jobs on the KANE website and other online recruiting sites * Prescreening and presenting qualified applicants including conducting interviews, processing MVRs, criminal background checks and employment verification. * Developing a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need and maintaining follow up conversations * Researching and recommending new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting * Efficiently and effectively filling open positions * Conducting regular follow-up with the Transportation team to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation including presentation of hiring metrics and analysis * Proficient use of the ADP and Ten Street systems to manage applicant tracking and associate hiring * Scheduling and completion of new hire orientation and onboarding including pre-employment drug screening * Completion of all new hire paperwork and uploading of new hire information into ADP ensuring accuracy of HR and Payroll information * Ability and willingness to travel within the US as needed Benefits * Medical, Dental, Vision (1st day of the next month of hire) (Options available) * FSA/HAS programs available * 401K with matching program * Vacation and sick time * Friendly and Open-Door culture * Requirements * Deep understanding of the Transportation business * Proven experience recruiting and hiring CDL Class A Drivers, Owner Operators and Brokers * Knowledge of DOT standards and FMCSA regulations * Experience with applicant tracking systems: ADP and Ten Street preferred * Experience creating and maintaining Driver files in compliance with DOT regulations * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong follow-up skills * Knowledge of employment law * Strong analytical skills * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Human Resources preferred Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
