ESSENTIAL FUNCTION of a Accounting Controller:

  • Oversee and monitor the posting of A/R transactions and ensure timely A/R collections.
  • Oversee and monitor the posting of A/P transactions and preparation of A/P disbursement proposals.
  • Oversees financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Oversees the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and the reconciliation of subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS and Irca's standards & best practices.
  • Assist with the implementation, training and roll-out of Infor M3
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Five years related accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education/experience and training.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
  • Technical accounting skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills to share accounting information when needed.
  • Intermediate Computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience with SAP, Sage or Infor M3 accounting and finance ERP systems preferred.
