Kelly Services is seeking an Analytical Chemist in Rochester, NY to perform materials characterization with our client in the medical device industry.
Until the end of the year- may extend!
Day shift -40 hours a week
The candidate will perform materials characterization, micro-particle isolation and identification, forensic contamination analysis and other regulatory testing in support of current Surgical products and product development. The candidate is also expected to write technical reports, protocols and other technical documents to support ongoing projects.
M.S. degree in chemistry or 5+ years' experience in analytical lab. Broad analytical experience, capable of working with an array of different analytical equipment. Experience with FTIR, Raman, optical microscopy, SEM/EDS and particulate analysis is strongly preferred as well as strong technical writing skills. Experience with medical devices and biopolymers is a plus.
