About AstraZeneca
AstraZeneca is a global, science-driven biopharmaceutical company. We are dedicated to discovering, developing, and delivering innovative, meaningful medicines and healthcare solutions that enrich the lives of patients. In AstraZeneca Oncology, our goal is to be at the forefront of developing the next generation of cancer therapies.

Who we are:
We are a program team supporting the 2-year program to establish a new site in Kendall Square, MA. The site for AstraZeneca and Alexion will co-locate R&D lab-based, and office-based teams currently located at Waltham, MA and at Seaport, Boston.

The Seaport site became part of AstraZeneca as a result of the Alexion acquisition in July 2021; Waltham is a well-established R&D site, delivering both Oncology & BioPharm discovery science. Both sites have colleagues actively engaged in the Kendall Square program. All roles will transition from Waltham; a selection of roles will transition from Seaport which will remain an important site in the AZ Boston Strategic Location.

AstraZeneca and Alexion are working closely with Boston Properties who are building the residential and lab tower complex at Binney Street.

The program encompasses several workstreams including construction, leading the fit-out of the shell and core, where we will determine space requirements, use, adjacencies, look & feel. IT, making sure the new building will meet the technology needs of AZ & Alexion from 2026 onwards, Waltham transition, supporting the sale & leaseback of the current site, and planning & executing the transition from current site and ways of working, lab design and location, to the new build, and finally Seaport transition, supporting the Alexion site LT and project team to engage staff in their change.

We know that the world doesn't stand still; although your focus will be the changes that are specific to the Kendall Square move, you will have the opportunity to engage employees on how other business events impact their particular situation and context.

Reporting to the Kendall Square Transition Business Lead, fixed term role will provide Change Leadership throughout the program, working closely with current internal communications experts and change advocates

Who you are?
We are looking for an inspirational Change Management Leader, who can work closely with Site and Program Leadership to develop and execute a program of activities that will engage, inspire and inform colleagues at both Waltham and Seaport. When we move into the new site in 2026, you will have overseen a program of activity that helps colleagues feel excited about, and ready for their move.
