Title: EH&S Regional Manager
Location: Mount Pleasant/Milwaukee metro area (onsite)
Salary: $110-125,000 + benefits package
Direct Hire | 1st Shift | Mon-Fri  

SUMMARY
Kelly Scientific has partnered with a leading manufacturer of colors from natural sources aiming to make a difference for healthy living and sustainable agriculture. They are searching for a EH&S Regional Manager to provide leadership in the development of EH&S strategy and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and measure EHS performance and support portfolio leaders, research engineering and Facility Operating / Management Teams in addressing key EH&S issues and appropriately utilizing Lean principles to deliver intended business results.
  • Implement and maintain EHS policies and safe work practices and programs associated with all phases of Occupational Health and Safety Proactive, Prevention and Environmental compliance.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly EH&S inspections and/or audits to identify and correct potential hazards, develop CAPA structure and to ensure that safe-work practices are being followed.
  • Improve overall EH&S culture by advocating transparency through behavioral based safety strategy, continuous improvement, 8-Disciplines, and Technical Systemic Root Cause.
  • Lead the development, review, and emergency programs implementation.
  • Interface with regulatory and public authorities in the EHS sector.
  • Supervises industrial hygiene programs.
  • Prioritize major hazards and risks at the site, and ensure action is taken to mitigate or eliminate the risks.
  • Lead investigations for EHS and environmental incidents and participate in their review.
  • Implement, support, and guide local safety committees.
  • Participate in the process of developing the annual budget with the respective managers and corporate managers.
  • Partner with the global EHS leaders to implement corporate requirements.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of EHS management systems.
  • Lead the development, evaluation, and revision of EHS training, sharing opportunities and observational programs.
  • Lead the coordination and implementation of EHS CapEx projects.
  • Work with local engineering and maintenance resources to resolve EHS issues.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Safety and/or Health, Masters' degree.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • 5 years plants EH&S experience, preferably having worked in food processing plants
  • Multiple location EH&S experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Certification & Licenses Preferred: General Industry EH&S Specialist Certifications, CPR, First-aid, AED, etc.
  • Knowledge of ISO 450001, ISO 14001
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office intermediate level, SAP intermediate level
