Maintenance Technician (Wylie, Texas) 

Our client located in Wylie, Texas, is currently hiring a 3rd shift Maintenance  Technician. Role is a Direct Hire, 3rd shift needs a strong Mechanic due to the plant's growth (2002 a new plant for this client, their business has tripled since then, with most of the new revenue a spike since 2022). Strong pay and bonuses, sign on bonus as well as relocation stipend if applicable.  Hours are 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM Monday through Thursday. At this time there is over-time outside of that schedule until hiring cycles are complete (client is hiring to eliminate over-time). 

SUMMARY:
Maintenance Technician will repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment. Equipment includes mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps. Technicians repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters as needed. While working in a manufacturing production environment, technicians also perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.   To ensure success as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you should have advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills, and good time-management skills. Ultimately, a top-class Industrial Maintenance Technician boosts production by ensuring all production equipment functions correctly and receives regular maintenance.

Plant Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.
Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
Installing new production equipment as-needed.
Servicing and maintaining production-related equipment (Equipment includes mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps. Technicians repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, and motor starters as needed).
Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.
Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.

Plant Maintenance Technician Requirements:
Previous work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Basic computer and report writing skills.
Good communication skills.
Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
Good time-management skills.
