Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking an Analytical Chemist for a contract position (potential for extension/conversion) at a leading client in Burbank, CA. Pay Rate:
$25-26.00/Hour (commensurate with experience)
Overview:
Our client is a private, independent laboratory comprised of four nationally recognized laboratories located in New York, Illinois, and Northern California. Each of these laboratories has developed its own area of expertise and is an acknowledged leader in the field of food analysis with a wide array of clients from mom and pop startups to national, well known food companies to the FDA.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 1st: Standard Hours
Responsibilities:
- Develop methods for analytical tests, equipment, chemical analyses, procedures meeting established standards and industry requirements.
- Analyze test samples utilizing HPLC, UPLC, LC, and other appropriate instrumentation.
- Assist in overseeing work conducted by lab technician or assistants.
- Assist in troubleshooting out of specification test results.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in science related field.
- 1-3 years directly related experience.
- Experience performing analytical or chemical testing on supplements, vitamins, or finished products.
- Familiarity with HPLC, UPLC, ChemStation, LC, GC, TLC, titration, pH, conductivity, and other chemical equipment/techniques.
