Description

We are seeking a dedicated Fermentation Operator to support our client's fermentation and downstream process operations. As a member of the cross-functional teams, you will assist in operating various process equipment, performing cleaning and sanitation tasks, obtaining samples, conducting tests, and maintaining accurate data records.

Shift: 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday – Friday
Payrate: $23.00 - $28.00

Responsibilities:

• Support the operation of tanks, fermenters, blowers, pumps, dryers, scrubbers, evaporators, and boilers.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure adherence to sanitation program and good manufacturing practices.
• Obtain samples and conduct physical, analytical, and microbiological tests, record data accurately.
• Collect and document operational and equipment logs and records.
• Participate in ongoing training on equipment and process operations.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies and procedures, reporting any unsafe activities.
• Perform tasks in confined areas, inside tanks, at heights, or in extreme temperatures.
• Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with process technicians and supervisors.
• Assist with plant-related efforts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

• Current enrollment in or completion of a food science or related degree program OR Minimum of 1 year of experience in fermentation, food processing, or industrial processing
• Strong team player with excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to collect data, maintain documentation, and record accurate information.
