Junior Scientist - Stem Cell Lab

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Junior Scientist for a direct hire position at a leading client in the stem cell research industry in Gillette, WY. Salary: $51-$71k+ DOE + relocation
100% onsite

Overview:
This client is an industry-leading stem cell research company focused on advancing stem cell biology technologies into therapeutic applications.
In this role, you'll be working with a dynamic research team to explore the properties and behavior of stem cells, including pluripotent and multipotent stem cells. This role will give you an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research, helping to make a meaningful impact on human health.
Schedule: Mon-Fri day shift
Responsibilities:

  • Design and conduct experiments to explore the properties and behavior of stem cells.
  • Develop and optimize protocols for the isolation, culture, and differentiation of stem cells.
  • Investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying stem cell self-renewal, differentiation, and reprogramming.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate the therapeutic potential of stem cell-based approaches for various diseases and conditions.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data using advanced techniques and bioinformatics tools.
  • Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in stem cell research.
  • Contribute to the preparation of research proposals, publications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and analyses in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or equivalent degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Strong background in Cell & Gene Therapy translational sciences.
  • Proven expertise in stem cell culture techniques, including mesenchymal, hematopoietic, and umbilical cord stem cells.
  • Knowledge of embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) is desired.
  • Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qRT-PCR, Western blotting, immunostaining, and FACS analysis is required.
  • Strong background in cell culturing, signaling, growth, and differentiation pathways. Cell culture image analysis.
  • Prior experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using statistical software and bioinformatics tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of scientific productivity, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.
