Laboratory Technician – Torrance, CA

Type: Contract to hire
Shift: M-F, 1st
Pay Rate: $20/hr

Responsibilities:

• Wash, organize, and coordinate glassware in Chemistry and Microbiology laboratory per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Clean and sanitize laboratory benches, shelves, temperature-controlled units, and all surrounding areas.
• Clean and sanitize Sterility clean room suite.
• Assist in cleaning and sanitizing all other areas of the company as needed.
• Follow cGDP and cGMPs to ensure adherence to FDA, ICH, and DEA government regulations.
• Work with laboratory staff as needed.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks according to cGMP and internal guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with Quality System, including the manual, system procedures, cGMPs, and cGDPs, and procedures as applicable to ISO 9001.
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
• Exercise laboratory safety practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; AS degree preferred.
• 1 year of laboratory experience preferred; school/college experience acceptable.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, push, pull, stoop, and crouch up to 80% of the time while performing the duties of this position.
• Position may require lifting items up to 25 lb in weight.
• May require weekend rotations as needed.
