Shift: Monday-Friday, 1st shift

Pay: $21/hr

Job Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Testing: A. pH, B. Loss on Drying C. Karl Fischer titration D. Viscosity E. Particle size F. Acid value G. Volatiles H. Brix I. specific gravity J. hot water insoluble K. Refractive index L. Gas Chromatograph M. HPLC ATP sanitary testing
• Review, test and approve raw material lots prior to purchase with Manager Calibrate equipment prior to daily use
• Administrative tasks-track and log aroma chemicals, clean out retained samples on a regular basis once expiration date occurs
• Keep lab clean; put away items on counters, wipe down and wash labware
• Data entry: enter all incoming COA s, lab testing results and NCSU/EC evaluations into company database
• Inspect, take pictures and complete paperwork on incoming material Inspect, take pictures and complete paperwork on outgoing material
• Research laboratory supplies, methods and product information
• Review Production pipeline tracking factory production items weekly with Logistics Manager
• Confirm pre-shipment samples from suppliers
• Send out pre-shipment samples to outside testing labs and to NCSU
• Follow up for timely pre-shipment results
• Test pre-shipment samples in-house, when possible
• Create and distribute COA per customer requirements
• Help prepare sample blends for leads and customers
• Help prepare samples for tradeshows
• Test products and create new product specifications, taking into account natural variations
• Assist in testing and matching target sales samples
