Description

Kelly Services is working with a large paper converting manufacturer in the Green Bay, WI area in search of Machine Operators and Assistants. These positions will be temp-to-hire or direct hire based on experience, and are full-time.

Pay Range: $19-$21/hour based on level of experience

Possible Available Shifts:

  • 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule
    • 6:00am-6:00pm/6:00pm-6:00am
    • Possible bi-weekly rotation/swing
Job Duties:
  • Support Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.
  • Understand and apply customer specifications to the operation of the machine to ensure finished goods comply with customer requirements.
  • Program and monitor computerized operating panel.  Calculate and determine proper core size, roll diameters, required footage and perforation.
  • Initiate set up, operations, and adjustments of machines and all down-stream equipment to achieve established production quota.
  • Program log saw and clamp product in log saw. Determine and verify cut accuracy and adjust as needed.
  • Perform hourly quality checks to ensure accuracy of production run and the submittal of daily quality reports to QA department. 
  • Monitor and perform product changeovers in conjunction with the Rapid Changeover Technicians (RCO Techs).
  • Adjust embossing unit and change core chuck as needed.
  • Ensure regular and open communications with quality, maintenance and supervision.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills on regular, consistent basis. 
  • Work the 12-hour rotating shift requirement.
  • Keep work area clean and organized while following the lean initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Consistent work history
  • Minimum of 6 months machine operation experience
  • OSHA/Manufacturing Safety Knowledge 
  • Ability to work well within a team and guide a machine crew
  • Steel toed boots or shoes
  • Ability to work at a non-smoking facility
