(Job Description) 05/06/2024 Purpose Optimizing customer satisfaction by optimizing occupant comfort, ensuring ergonomic well-being, and adhering to safety and compliance standards while staying innovative in the automotive industry. Job Summary You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and enhancing seat comfort features and systems for the automotive industry. You will lead and contribute to projects aimed at providing top-tier comfort and satisfaction to automotive customers. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive seat design, ergonomics, and advanced technologies related to comfort. Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of seat comfort systems, including seat heating/cooling features, and other aspects related to occupant comfort.
  • Initiate and Review DVPs & DFMEAs and create BOMs.
  • Act as a Technical Liaison between Customer, Project Manager and the team in China.
  • Understand customer requirements and create design based on customer requirements.
  • Attend regular customer meetings.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing seat comfort features to ensure they meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including automotive designers, engineers, and quality assurance professionals, to integrate seat comfort solutions seamlessly into automotive product development.
  • Assess the capability of external labs to meet test requirements.
  • Create prototypes and conduct testing to validate and refine seat comfort features, ensuring they meet stringent automotive standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of design specifications, test results, and project progress, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive industry trends, technologies, and materials related to seat comfort engineering.
  • Ensure that seat comfort features meet all relevant automotive industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior comfort engineers specializing in seat comfort to foster professional growth and skill development.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments to optimize seat designs for comfort, posture, and long-term well-being of occupants.

  Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 Years of experience in automotive seat comfort engineering or a related field (Specify the number of years required).
  • Strong knowledge of automotive seat design, ergonomics, and comfort principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and FEA tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with automotive OEM or Tier 1 suppliers is a plus.
