Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Quality Control Tech in Beecher/Crete, IL.

This is a possible contract to hire opportunity, meaning you will get hired directly after 3-4 months, depending on your performance and attendance.

Shifts and pay:
1st shift: 6am – 430pm
Pay: $18-19hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Production line inspection for quality attributes – net weights, seal integrity, label control, code date and metal detector verifications.
  • Will conduct allergen changeover inspections on all water washes.
  • Batch checks in X3.
  • Write investigation reports for incidents that occur.
  • Place product on hold as needed for quality or food safety deficiencies.
  • The employee will be required to follow and enforce GMP's on the floor including hair nets, beard nets, uniform compliance – all employees must wear company issued uniforms, personal cleanliness, no nail polish, no jewelry, no eating on the floor, no drinks on the floor, no standing, sitting or sleeping on product.
  • Employee could be used to cover QC responsibilities at the Crete facility.
  • Employee will support a customer base by providing COA's, sending product out for testing or completing the in-house testing.
  • Lift up to 50-60 pounds.
  • Conduct duties in a timely manner.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • Will alternate Saturday coverage in Crete.
  • Environmental monitoring at Crete facility.
  • Will manage Hold and Release process.

Qualifications:
  • Have experience in quality control preferable in the food industry
  • Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures
  • Are able to lift up to 50-60 pounds
  • Have the ability to work Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 4:30pm, with rotating Saturdays from 6:00am to 11:30am
