Quality Administrative Assistant

Kelly Science is currently recruiting for a Quality Administrative Assistant position in Terre Haute, IN 47804.

About the Role:
In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring our commitment to food safety and quality by managing and maintaining all our crucial documentation. This role will be responsible for conducting all microbial testing (swab testing monthly, IMS film monthly, non-IMS film, air-plate and water quarterly). Updated trend charts accordingly.
You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Document Management:
    • Uploading and maintaining documents in our document control system.
    • Following established procedures for document review, approval, and publishing.
    • Maintaining an organized and easily accessible document library.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Assisting with maintaining and updating monthly and quarterly trend charts related to food safety, pest control, and training compliance.
    • Logging food safety issues identified during inspections.
    • Updating Food Safety & Quality Boards to reflect current performance.
  • Compliance & Accreditation:
    • Tracking completion of monthly PRP (Preventative Maintenance Program) audits and sending reminders/warnings as needed.
    • Maintaining annual documentation (accreditation and certificates of destruction) from service providers.
    • May be called upon to assist with surprise inspections by IMS (regulatory body).
Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma; a degree in a related field (Food Science, Quality Assurance) is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or document control role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • M-F; 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm
  • Competitive hourly wage of $21.50/hr.
