1.1 The Quote Representative for the C&E (Component and Electronics) division will work under the C&E Sales Manager. This job function will primarily be for quoting the components along with some material testing as required. The Rep will also work with Fabrication to get prices for fixturing to wrap everything up in a quote to send to the customer. Customer and internal/external kickoff meetings are common.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Ability to maintain multiple large customers while taking on new random ones.
2.2 Fast paced customer interactions to fulfill multiple customer's requirements.
2.3 Ability to reasonably estimate timing on jobs.
2.4 Works with Project Manager and Fabrication Manager to get timing and prices on Fixturing.
2.5 Hold meetings as required to gather information, kick off testing with the customers & internal staff, project status, and whatever may be required.
2.6 Maintain a roughly $300,000-$700,000 WIP (Work In Process) que.
2.7 Ability to visit a remote location for customer meetings (Not too common).
2.8 May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
2.9 Excel is the main program we use to quote. The customer's RFQ's are also typically in Excel.
2.10 Ability to read GD&T is helpful
2.11 Ability to look at a sample drawing and figure out approximate testing costs based on size and complexity of the component.
3.0 JOB REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Excellent computer skills in use of the Microsoft 365 suite of programs with a focus on excel.
3.2 Excellent communicator with the ability to quickly disperse planning changes to the project management team and test team.
3.3 Ability to work with as an individual and with a team.
3.4 Ability to concentrate in a busy working environment and stay on task.
3.5 Advanced problem solving and decision-making skills.
3.6 Advanced reading, writing and math skills.
3.7 Strong interpersonal skills required with demonstrated ability to build and maintain teamwork.
4.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
4.1 High school diploma required. Previous experience in same or very similar environment is preferred.
4.2 Equivalent combination of education and experience
