Kelly Science has a direct hire Radiochemist opportunity to join one of our premier clients located in Atlanta GA. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to saving lives!

Location: Atlanta GA (onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay Rate: $25

Responsibilities:

• Manufactures NIST-traceable radioactive calibration standards.
• Manufactures check sources and proficiency testing samples.
• Operates laboratory equipment.
• Maintains a clean and safe laboratory environment.
• Reviews and signs Certificates of Calibration for manufactured standards.
• Performs contamination control in support of Health Physics in restricted areas.
• Operates nuclear counting equipment.

Requirements:

• Minimum education (or substitute experience) required: 4-year degree in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, Nuclear Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum experience required: No job experience required. Recent university graduate is welcome.
• Abilities and skills required:
• General wet laboratory experience (analytical balance operation, dilutions, pipetting).
• Experience in preparation and handling of chemical solutions, including microgram level concentrations using pipetting and semi-micro analytical balances for gravimetric transfers.
• Experience in handling standard laboratory equipment and working with containment apparatus such as laboratory hoods and glove boxes.
• General use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and database applications.
• Experience with power tools and machinery a plus.
