Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Senior Quality Technician - Lead near Ottawa, IL.

Direct Hire
Shift:
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Compensation: based on experience

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, audit, and conduct in-house spot-checks of QC testing of incoming finished products.
  • Record inspection and test data, comparing it to established finished product specifications.
  • Pull and maintain reference QC samples for future comparison and analysis.
  • Obtain, review, and file manufacturers' Certificates of Analysis for finished products received at the DC facility.
  • Identify and monitor Canadian finished goods subject to customs release, ensuring compliance.
  • Identify trends of quality nonconformance and collaborate with manufacturing plants for resolution.
  • Coordinate the preparation of Certificates of Analysis as requested by customers.
  • Communicate with manufacturing plants to handle requests for technical information effectively.
  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to guide and assist on all QA-related tasks.
  • Execute internal audits at established intervals to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist with in-house testing of National Brand products as required.
  • Maintain and track availability of current National Brand samples.
  • Execute projects as required by customers, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Contribute to the improvement of automation of data files and output, leveraging knowledge of good manufacturing practices and good laboratory practices.
  • Assist the Department Head in ensuring compliance of outside contractors in all aspects of quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Help train new technical hires, imparting knowledge and skills required for the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1- 2 years of experience in quality control or a related field within a GMP environment.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to quality control.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and documentation.
