  • Schedule: 4:45 am to 3:15 pm
What a typical day as a Structural Mechanic might look like: 
  • Perform structural assembly, installation, repair, and modification tasks on aircraft components and systems according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Inspect and evaluate structural components for defects, damage, or wear and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fabricate, fit, and assemble structural parts and subassemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot structural issues, develop repair solutions, and implement modifications as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including completion records, inspection reports, and compliance certificates.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries during structural maintenance operations.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a relevant vocational training program or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Proven experience as a structural mechanic or similar role in the aerospace industry, with demonstrated proficiency in structural assembly, repair, and modification techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals to perform structural maintenance tasks accurately.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft structural materials, processes, and standards, including familiarity with composite materials and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments effectively and safely.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
