As a Global HSES Systems Manager, you'll be at the forefront of leading and supporting the implementation of processes and project safety standards in conjunction with the Global Health Safety Environmental and Security (HSES) team and in alignment with the Operations strategy. You will be responsible for strategy and oversight of enterprise-wide HSES systems. This role will utilize systems thinking principles to facilitate sustainable platforms and processes for managing corporate HSES systems.
This is an experienced professional with education in science, engineering, IT, or HSES related field. This role requires a hands-on, results driven individual with strong project management skills, understanding of IT, understanding of HSES, and the ability to understand systems quickly.
This position is responsible for researching and implementing new data management systems, monitoring systems, system maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, continuous improvement and working closely with internal IT solution architects and system users. You are the owner of all systems HSES.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor all enterprise-wide HSES systems and infrastructure. Systems include but are not limited to: Incident Event Management Systems, Dakota Environmental Systems, MOC database systems, IH and other HSES database systems, Kenexis (PHA database), ISNET, DOME (management systems documents), Sologic (root cause analysis tool), SDS Management System, and other HSES tools
- Test, troubleshoot and maintain systems.
- Facilitate a sustainable platform and process for managing systems.
- Engage users and internal IT expertise on system improvements.
- Proactively ensure sustainable platforms.
- Provide technical expertise and support to site users.
- Monitor performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions and work with IT expertise to address.
- Lead development and provide training to users on system use.
- Develop system processes and procedures that support efficiency and effectiveness.
- Liaise with vendors, consultants and other IT personnel for improvements and system problem resolution.
- Provide technical guidance and support for global sites regarding all HSES programs
- Domestic and international travel (10%).
- Project and change management—5 years or more
- HSES experience
- IT or Software applications experience
- Willingness to travel up to 10% globally
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or HSES related field
- Chemical plant experience—5 years or more
- Global project management is a plus
