Job Summary

The IT Architect will carry out complex information systems and/or information technology operational and design tasks within more than one discipline. Disciplines may include, but are not limited to, application support, database administration, software quality assurance/quality control, hardware engineering, network telecommunications, and infrastructure operations, analysis, and design.

Job Responsibilities

•    Carry out complex information systems and/or information technology tasks within more than one discipline and serves as the highest level of enterprise IT escalation support.
•    Monitor and support the information technology and systems infrastructures.
•    Implement various applications of a complex nature.
•    Conduct analysis including planning, designing, and evaluating a variety of information technology tools.
•    Respond to a variety of complex user requests for system needs and upgrades.
•    Act as a technical project leader or provide leadership for lower-level employees.
•    Provide written technical descriptions and contribute to the development of technical solutions in support of internal projects.
•    Attend appropriate design review or business meetings.
•    Provide problem resolution of system issues with user accounts, email, collaboration tools, networks, and hosting platforms.
•    Fortify systems against cyber security threats and assist in the implementation of security measures to protect data and infrastructure from emerging threats.
•    Continuously improve performance and reliability of hosting platforms.  Optimize system performance and uptime through proactive maintenance and creative problem solving.  Update documentation of new and existing systems.

 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field and a minimum of 8 years applicable information systems experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience.) 
•    May require advanced degree or technical certifications.
•    A passion for staying ahead of the tech curve and adopting new solutions.
•    Expected to have knowledge and significant experience in multiple information systems disciplines.
•    Experience with designing and building solutions utilizing the following technologies:
o    Azure based solutions.
o    VMWare ESXi & VSAN 7.0 or greater
o    Hybrid cloud-based solutions
o    Entra ID and SSO including technologies such as OIDC, OAUTH, & SAML
o    M365, including all areas of the suite.
o    Active Directory
o    Windows Server platform
•    Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Attention to detail is a must.
•    Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment.
•    Ability to successfully interact with other IT professionals and internal customers.
•    Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
•    Open and responsive to change and demonstrates a commitment to the process of continuous improvement by identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers.
