DRS Pivotal Power has a current opening for an energetic, self-motivated person, with a proven ability to work closely and cooperatively with others, to fill a full time co-op contract position as an Industrial Engineer Co-op. They will work in-office at our Bedford, NS location with our Manufacturing team.

• Work closely with and assist Production Manager/Supervisor and manufacturing Engineer in the conduct of various engineering assignments
• Conduct time/motion studies on the production floor
• Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and also learn new things
• Gather/Assemble production line data
• Complete assigned tasks on time
• May be required to help in research in a particular field
• Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
• Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
• Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering and production staff, methods, programs and practices
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• Engineering student; some progress towards engineering degree
• Participation in a co-op program at a recognized educational institution
• Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
• Ability to apply problem solving skills
• Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
