Responsible for the preparation and assisting in the cooking of food for center meals, in compliance with government and management directives. Duties include, washing, peeling, coring, shredding, chopping, trimming, boning and cutting fruit, vegetables, or meats for meal preparation. Also light cooking such as steaming and baking may be necessary. Attend salad bar, serve meals on serving line, and supervise students assigned to meal preparation duties. Perform clean up and sanitation duties in the food preparation area to ensure adequate health standards are met at all times.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent and one year related experience. Should have aptitude for kitchen duties and dress to comply with sanitation regulations. Valid food handler's permit preferred. Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and computer proficiency required. Valid driver's license with and acceptable driving record.
