Position Summary This position will fill the mental health professional role on the Alternative Response for Community.# Health (ARCH) team. ARCH is a two-person response team that provides an immediate response to# assigned 911 calls to help navigate an appropriate resolution to the identified crisis/needs. ARCH# may provide mental health support, assist with de-escalation/crisis stabilization, help mediate# simple conflicts, assist with welfare checks, and identify/connect individuals to appropriate# resources/services, et Position Responsibilities Unit Specific Position Responsibilities Qualifications, Knowledge # Experience Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education): Possession of a valid driver#s license.# Mandatory Reporter training within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment. Bachelor#s degree in social work or related field Combative Patient Response Team training within 90 days of hire and must maintain throughout employment. De-escalation training prior to performing patient care or within 90 days of hire. Organizational Requirements: Maintain stroke education per regulatory requirements. # Preferred Qualifications: Two years of social work experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.# # Required Knowledge, Skills # Experience: Knowledge of the theories, principles, and techniques of social work treatment and assessment; knowledge of the psychosocial aspects of health care; knowledge of public and private welfare and health agencies available to serve the community; knowledge of current laws, rules, regulations and guidelines affecting Social Services activities and services and its clientele; knowledge of current laws, rules, regulations, guidelines and professional codes of ethics as they apply to confidentiality of patient/client and organizational records and information. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language; to demonstrate basic computer skills; to evaluate the appropriateness of diagnoses and procedures; to read and understand chart documentation; to keep current with changes in the medical field; to demonstrate skills and current knowledge in patient assessment. Must be able to effectively communicate in a professional and tactful manner with physicians, staff, patients and/or their representatives. Must be able to publicly present information to physicians, members of the care team, and others as appropriate. Must be self-directed, flexible, and able to adapt to change. Must maintain confidentiality. Active Listening skills, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
