Title and Summary

Director, Business Analysis (Business Architect) Overview
The Settlement Program provides vital systems and services to the Mastercard Treasury and Finance team in support of global payments/customer funds movement, treasury operations, liquidity, foreign exchange, and risk management. Settlement is an agile development organization with teams located in St. Louis Missouri, Purchase New York, Warsaw Poland, and Pune India.

Role
In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic analysis, design, and oversight of the development of treasury applications that improve operational efficiencies, enhance customer experience, and maintain strong controls. You will partner with senior management to understand interim and long-term business objectives and ensure alignment across systems. Additionally, you will work alongside project managers to define requirements for new applications and customizations, adhering to standards, processes, and best practices.

In this role, you will:
• Serve as the business architect for all treasury applications, including the interdependencies of and interactions with other core Mastercard platforms
• Work with business/product owners to design, develop, and deliver system solutions for complex enterprise-wide initiatives to deliver core and value-added products/services
• Interact and coordinate with development engineers and system architects across multiple platforms, including consulting across teams and organizational lines to identify and leverage synergies
• Evaluate system design options and drive trade-off discussions to set business expectations based on value (e.g., regulatory, new business, efficiencies, and risk management)
• Work with the Technology teams to define and establish testing guidelines for all non-production environments; including roles and responsibilities for both UAT and regression testing, and ensuring all environments are up to testing standards.
• Engage and mentor analysts/managers at all levels to improve the standard of business initiatives

All About You
• Significant experience in leading technology projects involving complex process design/redesign.
• Skills to articulate system design to business and technical counterparts, including executives and other stakeholders
• Ability to engage engineers and system architects across multiple platforms to implement business requirements for complex projects including multi-year implementation plans.
• Understands performance engineering to ensure applications are built to scale, run, and perform for varying demands
• Has a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems or relevant certifications, and/or relevant work experience. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
