Title and Summary

Director, Strategy Pricing & Interchange As a Director Customer Economics you will be working at the heart of MasterCard's business and enjoy a broad exposure to all its different aspects. You will be working in an international environment: across geographical markets and across all products.

In this position you will be leading the economics strategy for MasterCard products and services for a division in Europe. You will design, assess and implement initiatives to strengthen MasterCard's' competitive position on product and country level. By enhancing and shaping the evolution of our economics you will play an important role in the development and adoption of innovative payment solutions.

You will have broad exposure within the organization and work closely with Country and Product management and liaise with the key functional partners in the Legal, Finance and Business Development teams. You will serve as strategic thought partner for senior management and contribute to key projects for MasterCard's strategy.

This position will require to:

• Identify and design economics opportunities (interchange) and identify revenue enhancement initiatives to support MCE revenue growth (pricing)
• Make holistic assessments on interchange initiatives along strategic, customer, financial impact, risk and feasibility angles. (E.g. run financial impact simulations on country, product and customer level or run competitive economics analysis)
• Prepare recommendations and necessary materials for decision making purpose and present recommendations to Senior Management
• Collaborate closely with regional and country management in his/her sub-region
• Participating in cross-functional teams and liaising closely with various internal and external stakeholders, e.g. Product, Finance, Operations & Technology, Legal, Customers, Consultants…

Profile and key requirements:

• The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate top class problem solving skills
• Excellent analytical skills: structuring and conducting rigorous analysis
• Able to think strategically and developing a strategic view on MasterCard's services and economics
• Excellent communication skills; Able to liaise and work with a customer oriented mindset towards its internal and external counterparts (e.g., accountability, sense of urgency, excellence …)
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to translate technical and analytical information into clear pricing or interchange strategies comprehensible for all stakeholders
• Have a strong drive and curiosity to learn, creativity, passion to achieve and excel
• Able to manage small-scale projects and use project-management skills for managing more complex processes
• Organized and process minded taking a structured approach in complex implementation projects
• A strong team player, hands-on, and can operate effectively in a complex matrix
• The candidate will bring an excellent knowledge of Excel, Access and possibly other Information Management tools
• Fluent in English and a good sense of humor
