Intern, BizOps 2025 Summer Internship Program - Australia Company Overview

Position Overview
The Loyalty BizOps team is seeking a BizOps intern who will help us solve problems, build our CI/CD pipeline, and lead Mastercard in DevOps automation and best practices. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about operations and technology, have a strong problem-solving ability and love all things automation.

As an intern, you will be part of a comprehensive program where you will gain real-life work skills, contribute to a global company, and have fun. You will be challenged to complete projects that enhance your skills and contribute to the department's goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be assigned to a business unit for 8-12 weeks.

Business Unit: Operations & Technology – BizOps
The role of Business Operations is to be the production readiness steward for the platform. Business Operations engineers work closely with developers to design, build, implement, and support technology services. They ensure that operational criteria like system availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, self-healing, and deployment automation are implemented throughout the delivery process. Business Operations also plays a key role in leading the DevOps transformation at Mastercard through our tooling and by being an advocate for change and standards throughout the development, quality, release, and product organizations.

Experience and Skills
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program majoring in Computer Science or a related field. Class of 2026
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and core computer science concepts.
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, etc.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Able to commit to internship period from 2 Dec 2024 to 31 Jan 2025. (Note: designated start/end dates cannot be negotiated).

Internship Period: 2 Dec 2024 to 31 Jan 2025
