Title and Summary

Principal, Program Management Overview

The Principal, Program Management will be part of the Technology Strategy and Transformation team, and will be responsible for the definition and management of a cross-functional change management framework and related processes, templates, and best practices, in partnership with critical stakeholders including People & Capabilities, and enabling Technology teams on adoption. The ideal candidate is passionate about the people and organizational aspect of change, supporting teams effectively through the change curve, and driving a culture that celebrates transformation, innovation, and customer centricity, through agility and industry best practices on change management.


Responsibilities
• Develop, pilot and institutionalize a best in class change management capability that will improve the employee experience and account for disruptive change to all elements of an organization's operating model (strategy, structure, processes and systems, shared values, etc).
• Set clear and measurable change management objectives and design a foundational change management framework.
• Build reference documents to guide the approach and further support the execution of change management activities.
• Create repeatable change management tools and templates to accelerate change management activities: change impact assessment; change communications plans and framework; stakeholder analysis and engagement tactics.
• Drive adoption of the Change Management Framework across Technology through piloting of several cross-functional strategic initiatives
• Implement engagement models to enable the upskilling of teams and leaders, through partnership with Program Management, on change management best practices and approaches
• Review the employee experience for executives, people managers, and individual contributors, to apply the lens of change management to moments that matter and key strategic initiatives, including journey mapping, impact assessments, mentoring programs, on-boarding, manager training, and ongoing communications, engagement, and enablement activities.
• Facilitate and/or support large cross-functional planning meetings and workshops using change management best practices and approaches.
• Manage and maintain key employee touchpoints across the change management journey.
• Consult, coach and engage project teams, managers and leaders.
• Assist in developing and delivering analysis, recommendations, and presentations for senior executives to support strategic decisions.

All about you
• Bachelor's degree in Organizational Change Management preferred, or Business Administration, Economics, Management, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Technology; Change management certifications a plus
• Work experience in consulting, change management, organizational transformations, or technology transformations is a plus.
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous environments.
• Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand.
• Exceptional problem solving skills: demonstrated ability to analyze data, structure complex problems, develop solutions.
• Superlative communication skills, both written and oral to a variety of stakeholders.
• Experience in driving adoption and training of change management frameworks and in enabling change management for med-large scale transformations
• C-Suite orientated presentation skills, especially related to building compelling presentations.
• Skilled in active listening and cultivating meaningful feedback loops via surveys, focus groups, and 1:1 interactions.
• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively and partner with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Able to establish and maintain strong relationships and influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
• Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
