Title and Summary

Project Manager BizOps team is looking for a Project Manager who can lead projects with global teams and take drive DevOps automation deliverables and reporting.

Primary responsibilities include overall project accountability of a moderately complex project or key coordination project responsibility at the departmental or divisional level. Core responsibility for managing relationships and communication within intended scope of defined project role. Helps to identifies key barriers to a projects or departments success and actively manages all mitigation activities.

Overview
• Works across teams to organize and accelerate delivery, ensuring all teams are delivering in a coordinated manner
• Tracks and manages manifest definitions, release integration, timing, scope and delivery
• Provides ongoing updates (with data) on the state of delivery
• Proactively manages all dependencies, ensuring all outputs are production ready at launch

Responsibilities
• Decomposes problems into coherent units of work (ideation/conceptualizationto execution). Organizes for optimal delivery. Negotiates priorities, facilitates progress, identifies blockers, raises visibility of issues to manager
• Secures resources, scopes efforts, outlines priorities and establishes delivery milestones
• Plans, executes, and delivers projects from inception to completion related to a known technology, product, or program. Describes and maintains the integrated plan that accounts for internal/external dependencies, differing delivery approaches, numerous constraints, and contingency for unplanned delays
• Proactively manages the end-to-end delivery of engineering work through the organization and all dependent organizations, reporting out progress, ensuring dependencies are covered, overseeing the gaps between teams, processes, and systems, while removing all blocking issues leading to a successful delivery. Figure out the sequencing of the work so that engineering execution can be optimized
• Works across teams. Actively manages dependencies and drives partner to meet program goals. May influence vendors and external partners.
• Gets shared understanding and buy in for solution by describing what is being done and why it is impactful to Mastercard and our customers. Utilizes communications as a preventive control. Puts the right people in the room or on thread and give them the right data to drive decisions. Runs effective meetings. Builds consensus and documents decisions. Communications do not require interpretation/follow-upclarifications to understand.
• Has experience in and understands industry technologies. Understands their program, product, or O&T domain. Sufficient depth/credibility to be effective with teams they work with. Can competently represent team's services to stakeholders and other teams. May need to bring developers or SMEs to meetings to talk details.
• Program strategy defined. Get guidance from peers and/or your manager as you ramp into the space and build your technical and domain expertise. Delivers independently but will occasionally seek direction from peers/managers
• Optimizes previously defined approaches for a team or limited area. Can demonstrate improvements using data. Utilizes department mechanisms (i.e. retrospectives, staff meetings, status meetings) to describe and drive continuous improvements


Major Accountabilities:
•Oversee various projects of a moderate complexity nature or has project accountability only at the departmental or divisional level. Responsible for planning, developing, and executing schedules to ensure timely completion of project deadlines and milestones. Ensure methodology compliance and manage resolutions, reporting to management or the Project Manager when necessary.
•Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff throughout the life cycle of the project. Monitor and manage the project budget. Must be familiar with the system's scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the teams. Identify and monitor project risks and issues.
•Regularly communicate to senior management or the Project Manager regarding the status of specific project deliverables.
•Provide input into new products, processes, standards or plans in support of the business. Effectively lead the project team or the responsible area to align with the business objectives, project schedule, and project budget. Effectively deal with and develop solutions to moderately difficult problems Education:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education required

Knowledge / Experience:
•Broad knowledge in the areas of strategy, planning and project management required processes and techniques.
•3 to 5 years of experience with structured methodology and project planning tools.
•Knowledge of MasterCard and the payments industry preferred

Education:

Bachelor's or relevant associate degree with emphasis on information technologies or the equivalent job-related experience.
