Senior Analyst - Business Insights, Analytics, and Reporting Job Title: Senior Analyst, Commercial Solutions – Business Insights, Analytics, and Reporting

Overview: The Commercial Solutions organization is looking for a Senior Analyst to support the Business Insights, Analytics, and Reporting function. This role will primarily support the Commercial Sales Strategy & Analysis team while also being a key resource for the broader Commercial Solutions organization.

About Commercial Sales Strategy & Analysis: the department sits centrally within Commercial Solutions as a strategy and analytical hub that is primarily responsible for:

- Developing and executing on global and regional level strategy built on top of a strong analytical foundation: customer research, market research, and deep analytics
- Developing and monitoring business cases in partnership with product, sales, operations, and other key stakeholders
- Intelligence creation – building and managing KPIs, dashboards, desktop research, product and sales benchmarking
- Enabling key ecosystem plays bringing together internal and external capabilities leveraging a build, buy, and partner approach
- Managing cross-functional alignment

About the role:
We are excited about the opportunity for the right individual to come in to support this fast-growing function as we build data and analytical capabilities and influence strategy globally. The vision for the role is to be a key resource for the Sales Strategy and Analysis team by becoming an expert on our core analytical platforms, driving ad hoc and structured analyses for our key stakeholders, and providing actionable insights to the Commercial Solutions' leadership team to drive data-driven, strategic decision making. Our goal is to be an information powerhouse for key functions – Sales, Product, Strategy, and Senior Management.

Key Activities:

- Master our internal analytics platforms and leverage them to provide insights relating to business trends, KPI tracking and measurement, and focus areas for leadership
- Create monthly and quarterly reports for senior management, providing key information on business performance across sales and product
- Provide analytical support to senior management and regional teams in the development and execution of strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with data science teams to expand capabilities for drawing insights (e.g., new data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools)
- Work with Product teams and influence our product roadmap by leveraging insights gathered through our various data sources
- Maintain knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility, and leverage them across the company where appropriate
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges

Relatable experience/skills that would translate well:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a tech or payments company
- Experience manipulating large data sets in Microsoft Excel and leveraging available tools to drive analysis (i.e. pivot tables; advanced functions)
- Ability to draw insights from data and translate these insights into key takeaways and recommendations
- Track record of creating comprehensive reports for management teams, summarizing key business metrics, trends, and performance indicators
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
