Senior Software Engineer Overview:

Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include payments-focused consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business Test & Learn experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Mastercard, you will lead the development of analytics applications that sit atop vast datasets gathered by retail stores, restaurants, banks, and other consumer-focused companies. The challenge is to create high-performance algorithms, cutting-edge analytical techniques, compelling visualizations, and intuitive workflows that allow our users to derive insights from big data that in turn drive their businesses.

Engineers work in small, flexible teams. Every team member contributes to feature design, building, and testing. The range of work you encounter varies from front-end web development to writing server-side calculation code to database work. There are no rigid organizational structures at Mastercard; each team uses processes that work the best for that team's members and projects.

As a Senior Software Engineer, You will:

• Develop data-focused applications using technologies as .NET / C#, React, Typescript, and SQL.
• Write code in C# and ensure code is well-designed, maintainable, and adheres to best practices and standards.
• Lead and push the boundaries of analytics and powerful, scalable applications
• Collaborate across teams with exceptional peers who are passionate about what they do
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze large data sets.
• Collaborate with team lead and Product Manager's to bring a data based technical perspective to roadmap and business decisions to drive valuable improvement to the capability of our products
• Bring a focus on high-quality code and development practices.

All About You:

• Proficiency with advanced object-oriented programming with C#, .Net, SQL, React, and Typescript.
• Solid technical foundation in full-stack development.
• Strong experience with complex SQL queries.
• Experience working with data and analytics.
• Prior experience contributing to the development of large-scale web applications.
• Systems migration experience preferred.
• Automation and scripting experience preferred.
• Desire to innovate and leverage new technology.
• Passion for analytical/quantitative problem solving.
• Motivation, creativity, self-direction, and desire to thrive on small project teams.
• Superior academic record with a degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
