Responsibilities

About the role: 

 

Type: Full Time Salaried 

Compensation: $101,200.00 to $151,800.00 a year with 15% bonus

Location: Fully Remote, must be in the United States 

Hours: Full Time Days

What to Expect:

This position is a key individual contributor role on the Finance team and is responsible for certain accounting matters, including the month end close and reporting, annual accounts production, external audit liaison, tax compliance and reporting, external audit liaison, system development, internal process reviews and ad hoc projects.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled and supported.
  • Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
  • Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
  • Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
  • Prepares periodic financial statements required for external reporting, both on individual entity basis and consolidated.
  • Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting follows SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.
  • Provides support and assistance to external auditors.
  • Prepares tax provision calculation and accounting, and work with tax advisers on annual returns and filing – both Federal and State.
  • Using system functionality, drives efficiencies from the month end process and implement best practices.
  • Prepares and reviews complex accounting transactions, such as revenue recognition, leases, and capital expenditures
  • Researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy.
  • May guide or review the work of support staff.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Participate in the implementation or upgrade of accounting systems and software.
