Description

McLeod Regional Medical Center (MRMC), a 500-provider, nonprofit healthcare system seeking a board certified or board eligible neuro-interventionalist - endovascular neurosurgeon, or an endovascular trained neurologist. This physician will join our growing neuroscience program in Florence, SC. MRMC is the principal provider of advanced, innovative, and interdisciplinary neurological services, and is the only Regional Level II Trauma Center and DNV Primary Stroke Certified Center with a Neuro and Surgical ICU. Our program is staffed with board-certified and fellowship-trained neurohospitalists and critical care specialists and offers the most comprehensive neurological treatment from the Midlands to the Coast of NC and SC.

As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, MRMC Neurointerventional providers could care for patients with complex neurovascular conditions to include comprehensive stroke and other endovascular services, as well as elective cases.

McLeod Regional Medical Center promotes collaboration with a team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, and radiologists. MRMC has a well-established Neurointerventional Bi-plane X-Ray Suite, which is used for the emergency treatment of stroke patients and is equipped with the most advanced medical imaging technologies available, and interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures.

Support: McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC is the regional leader in medical excellence. MRMC currently has 100 critical care beds including, a 20 bed Stroke and Medical ICU, a 20 bed CVICU, and a 20 bed CICU. This position will lead, support, and develop the Neuroscience Center of Excellence which include a 20 bed Neuro and Trauma ICU and a 20 neuroscience progressive step-down beds. McLeod Health recently converted to EPIC in both inpatient and outpatient settings in December 2022.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA residency program in one of the following specialties: Neurology or Neurosurgery
  • Successful completion of an accredited Fellowship in a NeuroInterventional program.

This position has a full-time schedule with traditional work week, plus call and hospital responsibilities that include evenings, weekends, and clinic. This position is eligible for sign on incentives, competitive compensation, and other benefits.
