Women's Health Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician Opportunity with MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center
Join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center - a busy community-based hospital just north of Baltimore, with approximately 2400 deliveries per year, 23 bed level III NICU with 4 neonatologist, genetic counselors and teams of both private and hospital-based OB/Gyn providers. Our hospital is baby friendly and has received MAGNET recognition.
Maternal-fetal medicine specialists at Franklin Square assist OB/Gyn providers in the management of high-risk pregnancies through consultation and ultrasonography, diagnostic procedures, using a multidisciplinary approach. Work with an amazing team of sonographers and nurses in our antepartum unit, recently updated with new ultrasound machines, with 4+ beds for fetal assessments, and capacity for telehealth care including consultation. Coverage is mainly through MedStar Franklin Square with remote reading at our MedStar Bel Air location. Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists at MedStar Health work closely with referring care providers to give personalized management of each patient.
Position Details:
- No in-house call; No Deliveries
- MFM opportunity is mostly outpatient with some inpatient consults
- Work 8hr shifts Mon-Fri, with dedicated, highly-competent clinical staff
- High volume ultrasound, including interpretation of fetal echocardiograms, first trimester screening, fetal anatomic survey, amniocentesis – (CVS experience appreciated, not mandatory) **
- Antenatal assessment interpretation including NST, biophysical profile
- Collaboration with genetic counselors
