Registered Nurse Intermediate Care/Medical Surgical Franklin Square
MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center is seeking new graduate RNs to fill roles in our Intermediate Care/Medical Surgical Unit.
Unit Highlights
48 Bed Unit
Mix of High Acuity Intermediate Care and Medical-Surgical patients
Chronic vents, insulin drips
Excellent leadership and tenured core group of RNs who work well together and with newer nurses on the unit
Flexible scheduling
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
· ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
· Active RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree In Nursing (BSN) from an accredited Nursing program preferred and
- If prepared at the associate degree in nursing level, required to enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of hire date and completion within 3 years required
Experience
- Prior work experience not required
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state or jurisdiction of the facility seeking employment Upon Hire required and
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR certification required by completion of introductory period. within 30 Days required and
- C-EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring Perinatal nurses (labor and delivery, antepartum, antenatal testing) must obtain certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) within 12 months from date of hire. New graduate nurses or new to specialty nurses (labor and delivery, antepartum, antenatal testing) will have 15 months from date of hire to obtain the EFM certification. required

- Basic computer skills required.
