General Summary of Position
Join us as a Paid Summer Nurse Extern for 4 weeks starting 5/20/2024! You can choose to participate 3, 4 or 5 days per week!
*For this summer nurse externship, you must have a CNA license & be in or going into your senior year of nursing school.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Active enrollment as senior nursing student in an accredited nursing program required and
- successful completion of 1 year of a Clinical Nursing Program including Fundamentals of Nursing (or the equivalent). required
Experience
- Prior work experience not required
Licenses and Certifications
- CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant A valid CNA license in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia or any combination based on work location(s) Upon Hire required and
- DL - Valid State Driver's License in good standing Upon Hire required and
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Upon Hire required and
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to demonstrate competencies in intravenous catheter insertions, I.V. site changes (preferred), dressing and inspections, and blood drawing within established time frame.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
