Because you're committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

This position provides technical support in the preparation and recovery of GI lab patients. The procedure tech assists the RN in turning over procedure rooms. Cleans and disinfects endoscopes in the Instrument room. This position is cross trained to register patients for their procedures.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of patient care technician experience and/or CNA (certified nurses assistance) preferred.
  • CPR certification required. (may be obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to do heavy lifting. Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment. Need to have a basic knowledge of vital signs skills, ranges and abnormalities as it pertains to vital signs.
  • 1 year GI Tech or comparable experience preferred.
