This position is primarily remote (work from home) - but, occasional in office at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, MO.


The Administrative Assistant role supports the workflow of the Organizational Effectiveness Department.


Organizational Effectiveness (OE) is a service department whose purpose is to support the educational needs/requests received from across the Ministry.


  • Maintains positive customer relations.
  • Answers telephone and routes calls appropriately.
  • Greets customers in a timely and pleasant manor.
  • Assists in addressing the needs of each customer
  • Establishes/maintains department files as appropriate.
  • Photocopies, faxes, distribute documents as appropriate.
  • Processes documents that flow through the department as necessary.
  • Orders department supplies, requisitions maintenance needs or other services as needed.
  • Tracks and records purchases in budget database.
  • Oversees tracking and assignments for student rotations.
  • Reports problems and opportunities for improvement to the appropriate staff or manager.
  • Participates in continued educational opportunities to expand knowledge base.
  • Collaborates with other Administrative Assistants across the Ministry.
  • Administrator for learning management system.
  • Administrator for RQI/Heartcode Complete voice-assisted manikins (VAM's).
  • Participates in the collection and reporting of data as needed.
  • Participates in established goal groups appropriate for role.
  • Microsoft Office 365 proficiency: specifically with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams


  • Experience: Minimum of one-year previous administrative assistant experience
  • Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
