Overview:

 

Work with members of the health care team to provide safe and effective drug therapy. Serve as a drug information resource to pharmacy, hospitalists, case managers, nursing, and medical staff co-workers as well as patients. Assist and support Mercy in continuing the transition to a collaborative care model which will include a close working relationship with Mercy Hospitalists, Case Managers and Medical Staff.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of a pharmacy degree program approved by the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy or foreign college of pharmacy with a transcript verification program and successful completion of pharmacy equivalence exam and communication testing.
  • Licensure: Missouri Board of Pharmacy licensed (or license eligible) pharmacist
  • Other: Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. Communicates effectively with all hospital employees demonstrating clear and precise oral and written documentation and active listening skills. Basic computer application skills. Actively participates in continuous quality improvement. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
  • Preferred Education: Doctor of Pharmacy Preferred Licensure:
  • Preferred Experience: Three years clinical pharmacy or residency training
  • Preferred Certifications: Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties- Preferred
  • Other: Experience with automated dispensing cabinetry. Experience with Omnilink Rx and/or Omnicentral Experience with EPIC Pharmacy applications
