Overview:

  • This position provides the necessary technical oversight, planning, direction, and operational work for the development, implementation, and on-going maintenance of Life Safety programs implemented by Facilities Maintenance and Operations.
  • The Life Safety programs will include OSHA, Joint Commission, NFPA, and CMS compliance as it relates to Facilities Maintenance and Operations throughout Mercy.
  • The purpose of this position is to ensure a safe working environment and support an exceptional Environment of Care for Mercy Health.
  • Scope of responsibility includes all hospitals, clinics and other properties maintained by Facilities Maintenance Operations throughout Mercy Ministry.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Education :Associates degree in science, safety, public health, or other related fields
  • Licensure: Must maintain a valid drivers license
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience coordinating and implementing safety programs in healthcare or public health that support Environment of Care and Life Safety programs, or 2 years experience and Bachelors degree in Public Health, Safety, or other related fields.
  • Must have project management skills and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
