Overview:

 

Performs duties as directed by the MRI Level II staff under the direct supervision of the MRI Supervisor or Imaging Services Manager. Responsible as a staffmember inthe MRI environment for safety and any assistance that is needed such as transporting or lifting patients and related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and the Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma.

  • Experience: Prior healthcare work experience.

     

  • Certification/Registration: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period.

     

  • Other: Computer skills and effective communication skills both verbal and written. Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit-specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids.

     

  • Preferred Education: Preferred successful completion of a recognized Nurse Assistant training course.

     

  • Preferred Experience: Prior hospital experience particularly in a radiology department.

     

  • Physical Requirements:•    Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.•    Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.•    Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
