Department: Birthing Center

Shift: Full Time/Nights, 36/hrs week, 7p-7a

Overview:

 

Using sterile techniques, prepares delivery rooms for C-section cases; surgically assists physicians with procedures and functions effectively in obstetrical emergencies. Responsible for the sterilization and maintenance of all sterile equipment. Prepares and turns over delivery rooms after delivery. Assists with patient care, including phlebotomy/Sure Step flex and participating in the recovery phase of delivered patients. Assists with the collection and transport of specimens.


Qualifications:

 

Education: High-School Diploma or GED are required. This is a certified technologist (CST) position. The Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program per the National Board of Surgical Technology is required. Maintain Certification without gaps. You may be asked to provide proof of education.

Licensure: None.

Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.

Experience: New graduate up to experienced surgical technologist experience.

Other: Must understand English both written and spoken, must be able to perform job-related functions safely and successfully, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law
