Open Position : Clinical Coordinator - 8-5pm, Mercy Ada, OK


Overview:

The Registered Nurse in the ICU uses the nursing process to coordinate and provide care to patients and their families during during times of illness. As such, the RN provides holistic care to the entire family unit during times of transition and stress as well as providing high-acuity nursing in multiple ages and stages. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. 

 

Clinical Coordinators work in both clinical and leadership capacity, providing direction for co-workers assigned to their shift; evaluate staffing for current and oncoming shifts; serve as clinical resource for staff and liaison for physicians and family. Evaluates staffing and room assignments based on census and acuity. Monitors productivity standards. Some on-call hours are required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
  • Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
  • Preferred Education: RN BSN
  • License: current RN license in our state
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
