Open Position : RN , ICU - night shift, Mercy Ada, OK

 

Department Information:

     The ICU Unit is a 12 bed unit, all private rooms. The ICU cares for patients with sepsis, COPD, exacerbation, stemi, post surgical patients that aren't able to recover well, UTI's boarding on sepsis, COVID, FLU, TB, shingles, mental health, suicide, arrhythmias, cardiac drip, unstable renal failure and more. The service is provided 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.  The ICU Unit is a specialized area of expertise that require astute level of assessment skills and a strong development of critical thinking.  All staff work 12-hour shifts, 0630 to 1900 and 1830 to 0700, which includes alternating weekend shifts and holiday shifts.  

 

Overview

     The RN assesses the condition of the patient in a timely, consistent and systematic manner. Then they will plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice.

Qualifications:

  • Required Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program. (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Certifications: Completes Hospital and required nursing competencies, mandatory in-services/MyEducation assignments and relevant certifications (ex. BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) within required time frame.
