Job Description:
**This position is a Temporary Position working on a long-term project**
The Inventory Management and Logistics Specialist reports directly to the Supervisor of Inventory Management. Under the leadership of Supply Chain Services and Surgical Services, the Inventory Management and Logistics Specialist holds a key role in the organization. This position is responsible for the accurate management and maintenance of perpetual and expensed inventories as assigned. They are responsible for ensuring accurate Lawson receiving of MOR and SPD supplies, instruments, and equipment. And for the proper distribution and final put away to ensure that the right products are available in the right quantities at the right time and location. Responsible for ensuring the separation of Lawson requisitioning from Lawson receiving functions as required by policy. Maintaining accurate cycle counts, par level inventories, physical inventories, bin locations and labels for alignment with Lawson is required. Properly manages and mitigates the risk of products becoming expired or wasted. This role oversees and submits product and equipment repairs and returns as well as processes recalls as required. In coordination with Supply Chain and Surgical Services team members, this position will also manage the logistics necessary for full cycle product throughput. This role is required to coordinate work activities with all Supply Chain Management and subject matter experts.
Experience
Minimum of one year of experience in inventory management and logistics in a fast-paced healthcare surgical services environment highly preferred. Experience with healthcare ERP systems highly desired (preferably Lawson). Must possess MS Office Suite knowledge, skills and abilities at an intermediate user level or higher for Outlook, Word and Excel.
Education
High school diploma, G.E.D. or combination of education and relevant work experience required.
